Little Poland. Our Community Centre |

Once again Association MOST has changed the place of their community centre.
This time the centre is in The Polish Club in Kirkcaldy.
Polish Ex-Combatants welcome the young emigration of Poles in Fife every Tuesday in the buildings at Bennochy Road.
Bennochy House was bought for only 500 pounds by the Polish Combatants Association in the early fifties. Here they were teaching children polish language and making the most of polish tradition. At that time Scottish Sunday Express wrote that Poles try to make the little Poland where the spirit of the free Poland can be kept. Today The Polish Club is the place of everybody where you can feel just like at home.
Just come in to The Polish Club every Tuesday between 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm. You are welcome!

Christmas Eve Supper with young and old generation of Polish emigrants was taken place on
16th of December in Polish Club in Kirkcaldy.
As the old Christian tradition says, Poles gathered around the big table in order to spend supper when expecting for Jesus birth. They shared with wafer, sang Christmas carols and wished all the best for everyone. Among the guests were: płk Józef Korabiowski, Councillor and Honorary President of Fife Polish Association MOST- Joe Rosiejak, and representative group from Polish Combatants Association - Lech Muszyński, Halina Kalinowska and Renata Łopatowska. Together there were about 70 people. On the table there were different polish traditional Christmas Eve meals, like beetroot soup, bigos with mushrooms, fish salads, croquets, dumplings with mushrooms and cabbage etc. The culminate point was an amazing meeting all children with Santa Claus. The happiness had never ended as they were given many polish sweeties as a presents.
After every Christmas Eve Supper Poles usually go to church for a Midnight Mass. This year Midnight Mass will be on 24th of December at 12 noon St. Paul Church in Glenrothes.

Lauder
College was founded in 1899 so has a long history. As a provider of
education and training, we constantly look at how to reach out to all
communities and how to effectively support the growing population of
Fife and beyond. The
College welcomes the new Scots from other parts of Europe and
commends the objectives of the Fife Polish Association MOST and is
similarly working with partner organisations to achieve social
inclusion and eliminate discrimination from our society. We are keen
to provide language support to people living in Fife or surrounding
areas and whose first language is not English and might
be combined with provision of Polish language classes for children. We even have some funding to do so but
before launching this service, we would like to hear from you about
your needs, for example, what should be offered, when and where and
any other comments you have. Although we may not be able to suit
every individual, we will do our best to provide classes where and
when most people want them.

Do
you want to learn more about healthy eating and cookery? This could
take the form of a short course, a longer course or even a one-day
demonstration by a guest chef.
Do
you want to produce a local food product? It might take the form of
planting an orchard, growing vegetables or herbs, starting a
cow-share scheme, creating a local green space for recreation and
growing, starting an allotment group, or anything else you can think
of!
